Rochester man arrested on drug possession charges

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested Tuesday evening on drug possession charges after a call came in for a suspicious subject in the area of Wallace Street.

Jeffrey Charles Diprizio, 35, listed on police records as a transient who lives in the city, was charged with two counts of drug possession, falsifying physical evidence and resisting arrest.

The incident began around 5:25 p.m. when a caller reported a suspicious person in the area of Wallace Street.

According to Tuesday's police log, when an officer caught up with the subject near the Elks Club, he was trying to dump something and then tried to flee from officers.

After Police caught up with Diprizio, EMS was toned for a possible hand injury he may have suffered.

Diprizio was released on personal recognizance pending his next court date.
