ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested for drunken driving early today after his truck crashed and rolled over on Old Dover Road.

Police got the call around 1 a.m. and located the wreck along Old Dover Road near Briar Ridge Estates.

Arriving personnel found a silver Ford F-150 pickup on its side, off the shoulder of northbound lane of travel, facing south. There were skid marks and debris throughout the roadway, and when police arrived the driver was out of the vehicle speaking with Good Samaritans who had stopped to help.

After a brief investigation police learned that the truck was driven by Antoneil Banton, 35, of Central Avenue, Rochester, who was traveling north on Old Dover Road when the crash occurred. Police say his vehicle crossed over into the opposite lane of travel, went off the shoulder, then crossed back into his lane of travel and rolled over before coming to rest on its side off the roadway.

Banton was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital to be evaluated for any injuries and later charged with DWI and use of mobile electronic devices while driving. He was bailed on personal recognizance pending an arraignment later this month in Rochester District Court.
