Rochester man hospitalized in early morning apartment house fire

ROCHESTER - An early morning fire on Hansonville Road sent an unidentified Rochester man to a Boston hospital.

The fire at 50 Hansonville Road was called in around 3:05 a.m.

When firefighters arrived they rescued the man from the blaze and began providing medical care, according to a State Fire Marshal's Office statement.

The victim was later transported to a Boston hospital.

Crews were soon able to extinguish the fire.

The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's Office, Rochester Fire Department and Rochester Police Department are investigating how the blaze began.

Further info on the fire was not immediately available as the shift had changed before this story was produced. It will be updated.

State Fire Marshal Paul Parisi took the opportunity to remind everyone to maintain working smoke alarms in their homes and keep exits clear.
