DOVER - A Rochester man has been accused of two domestic violence assaults in Somersworth in 2022.
A Strafford grand jury recently handed down two indictments on Derek A. LaPanne, 41, of Norway Plains Road, Rochester.
The indictments allege that LaPanne strangled a domestic partner between Feb. 1 and March 31, 2022, and again between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31, 2022.
If convicted on both counts LaPanne faces up to 14 years in state prison.
The November Strafford Grand Jury indictments were handed down on Nov. 16 and released to the public today.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been presented to move forward to trial.
