ROCHESTER - Christmas Eve got off to a rocky start for one Rochester man who allegedly tried to get into several fights outside Walmart before getting in his vehicle and swerving about the parking lot in a reckless manner, even trying to run down a manager who came out when there arose such a clatter.
It all began a little before 2 a.m. when Rochester Police dispatch was apprised there was a man "attempting to start fights," according to Sunday's police log.
Then the man allegedly got in his vehicle, began driving recklessly around the parking lot and even tried to run down a manager who had come outside. Soon after the report says he was seen doing doughnuts in the back parking lot before leaving the area.
Two police cruisers caught up with the vehicle matching the description given on North Main Street, but the suspect initially did not stop, finally pulling over near Pine Street where he was taken into custody without incident.
Justin J. Daigle, 24, of 5 Fourth St., was charged with driving after revocation or suspension, reckless operation, driving an unregistered vehicle and disobeying an officer.
