ROCHESTER - Rochester Police continue to investigate a tragic crash earlier this month that resulted in the death of a Barrington man.

The incident occurred on Sept. 12 around 9:40 a.m. in the area of Washington Street and Estes Road when police say a car and motorcycle collided.

Police arrived on scene to find Joseph Ford, 21, lying in the middle of the road not far from his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Sept. 15.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the motorcycle, a 2016 Harley Davidson Touring motorcycle, was traveling west on Washington Street when it collided with a 2011 Ford Mustang, driven by Michael Selig, 61, of Hull, Mass., who was turning onto Washington Street from Estes Road.

Selig was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said today that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.

According to Ford's obituary, he was employed by D.F. Richard and had recently purchased his own home.
