ROCHESTER - Rochester Recreation will be holding a February Vacation Camp next week. The activities will be different each day.
DAY ONE (Tues, Feb 21) - Mardi Gras & National Pancake Day
Make pancakes - chocolate chip, blueberry, banana, oh my! Campers will also learn the delicate art of Papier Mâché by making a piñata filled with prizes.
DAY TWO (Weds, Feb 22) - National Cook a Sweet Potato Day
Cook both regular and sweet potatoes. The day will round out with Yoga .
DAY THREE (Thurs, Feb 23) - National Banana Bread Day
Campers will make banana bread! Following, there will be a presentation on Heart Health and Nutrition by our friends at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
DAY FOUR (Fri, Feb 24) - National Tortilla Chip Day
Campers will make nachos in celebration of the delicious, versatile tortilla chip! Afterwards, there will be an exercise of movement, coordination, and FUN!
The week will end with a lesson on the universe's endless cycle of creation and destruction; the campers will break open the piñata they made on Monday!
