Rochester remains city with highest case count in county, at 16

CONCORD - State DHHS officials on Thursday announced 73 new positive test results for COVID-19, 75 percent of which were associated with recurring testing of residents and staff at three long-term care facilities experiencing an outbreak.

Of the 73 new cases, only 19 were among the general population.

One new Strafford County case was identified.

And while 10 new hospitalized cases were identified, current hospitalizations continue to dwindle, now down to 56.

Locally, Rochester remains the county hotspot with 16 current cases, followed by Dover now down to six and Somersworth, Barrington, Milton, Farmington and Strafford all remaining at 1-4.

There were four more reported deaths from the virus, all from Hillsborough County and 60 or older.
