Rochester Schools chief seeks public input on new direction for city schools

ROCHESTER - The superintendent of Rochester Schools announced today that the district is seeking to develop a new strategic plan to provide a "roadmap" that shapes the direction of Rochester Schools Department for several years.
At the outset of this initiative Supt. Kyle Repucci is reaching out to the entire Rochester Schools community for guidance.
"Your perspectives and feedback are integral to this process, as we strive to create a plan that accurately reflects the needs and aspirations of our community," Repucci wrote in the letter.
To get maximum input Repucci is asking folks to complete a brief survey which those interested can find by clicking here.
Those who want to share further feedback in a virtual focus group for one hour in mid-January can indicate their interest by completing a Google form. To do so click here

On Dec. 7 Repucci announced his decision to step down at the end of June.

He has served as superintendent of the Rochester School District for eight years and stated it was with a mix of emotions that he shared the news regarding his future.

"This decision was not an easy one," he said. "The relationships built and the shared experiences we've had make departing a bittersweet moment.

Repucci has assured the community that he will work closely with the School Board and district leadership to ensure a smooth transition, offering full support.
