ROCHESTER - The Rochester Recreation Department on Wednesday announced that Rochester seniors are invited to exercise at the Community Center on Wakefield Street.

The Rec is scheduling 45-minute time slots for seniors to sign up and stay active in a climate-controlled environment, Mondays and Wednesdays.

"Whether you like to shoot basketballs, walk the court, or play tennis/pickleball, we are giving you the time to do so," said Cindy Lamie, Program Coordinator of a "The ball is in your court!" outreach program.

The activities are available to Rochester residents 50 and up. One signup weekly. The coming are encouraged to bring their own equipment if needed. Staff would also like to remind seniors to wear athletic footwear and comfortable clothes. Masks are required for everyone in the Community Center.
