CONCORD - Rochester will be one of five regional sites available for COVID-19 testing for Granite Staters who have an order from a personal care provider to be tested there.

The site, which is not for public testing, will be the New Hampshire Army National Guard facility on Brock Street. It is expected to be up and running sometime this week, said state DHHS Commissioner Lori Shibinette during a press conference today in Concord.

Across the state other mobile testing will be available in Claremont, Lancaster, Plymouth and Tamworth with a PCP order.

Gov. Chris Sununu said ramping up of testing is happening already with some 1,000 folks now being able to be tested a day, up from 50 or 100 in a typical day previously.

Shibinette added that now if a person has even just mild symptoms they can contact their personal care provider, who can make a determination whether to send them to test at a hospital, urgent care, mobile testing site or a VNA.

Mobile testing units are also available to those who have disabilities and can't drive or otherwise get to an alternative test site.

Shibinette also announced 75 new cases today for a total of 1,938 cumulative cases. No additional deaths were reported today.

She said that between 90 and 100 remain hospitalized.
