Rochester transient arrested on five theft chrges this fall, twice in three days

ROCHESTER - A former Farmington woman arrested by Rochester Police last Tuesday spent one night in jail before being released on Wednesday only to be arrested again on Thursday on similar charges.
Tiffany Bartol, 40, formerly of Charles Street, Farmington, whose domicile is now described as "unknown," was arrested on Winter Street around 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 14 and charged with theft by unauthorized taking, criminal trespass and two counts of contempt.
Bartol was released on Wednesday, but got into more trouble on Thursday when she was arrested on Signal Street around 4:30 p.m, The charges this time were two counts of theft by unauthorized taking, criminal trespass and contempt.
Since October Bartol has been arrested five times:
Oct. 12: Arrested on Farmington Road, charged with receiving stolen property
Oct 19: Arrested at the Dunkin Donuts on South Main Street, charged with theft by unauthorized taking, and resisting arrest/detention
Nov. 3: Arrested at Rochester Walmart, charged with theft by unauthorized taking, plus two counts of contempt.

Bartol is currently out on personal recognizance bail.

According to New Hampshire statute, a person convicted of three thefts by unauthorized taking shall be subject to a Class B felony punishable by three and a half to seven years in state prison.

Contempt is typically charged when a person has violated conditions of bail, which normally includes that they not reoffend.
