DOVER - A Rochester woman serving time at the Strafford County Jail is now facing the prospect of up to seven years in state prison after court documents allege she shoved a jail guard in February.

Chantell Tibbetts, 34, of Gooseberry Circle is facing a seven-year maximum sentence on a charge of assault by prison, a Class B felony.

Tibbetts is accused of "knowingly" pushing a corrections officer during an incident at the jail on Feb. 7.

The Strafford County indictments were handed down on May 16 and released late last week.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant the matter moving forward to trial.
