DOVER - A Rochester woman indicted on charges she tried to smuggle drugs into Strafford County Jail in April faces up to 14 years in state prison if convicted.

Kerry Guay, 31, of 6 Widley Road, "knowingly had in her possession in a county correctional facility ... a controlled drug later determined to be fentanyl," according to the indictment.

Guay was also indicted on fentanyl possession in connection with the same April 2 incident.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down earlier this month and released last Wednesday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
