Rochester woman pleads guilty in trafficking case that netted $130G in drug profits

CONCORD - A Rochester woman has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, the U.S. Attorneys Office announced on Wednesday.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Jennelle Brown, 38, and her co-defendant sold drugs multiple times from their hotel room in Portsmouth. Law enforcement then searched their room and uncovered large quantities of money, drugs, and drug ledgers. A subsequent search of two vehicles the defendants used in their drug operations uncovered more currency and drugs.
Officers also searched storage units and safety deposit boxes the defendants controlled and discovered additional money and drugs. In total, law enforcement seized over $130,000, 1.3 kilograms of fentanyl, almost 650 grams of methamphetamine, and smaller amounts of cocaine.
Brown is scheduled to be sentenced on April 27, 2023.
The February arrest of Brown and Bradford Sargent Jr., 40, came about at the Homewood Suites Hotel after a two-month investigation into the distribution of illegal substances in Rockingham and Strafford counties.
Sargent was charged with two counts of conspiracy to distribute a controlled drug and three counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled drug.
Sargent has pleaded not guilty.
