Rochester's RTK department is run by nameless, faceless bureaucrats

Did you know that the City of Rochester's Right to Know department is manned by a cadre of nameless bureaucrats who refuse to let you know with whom you are communicating.
When I recently submitted a RTK request my name was attached to the email, but when I received a reply back there was no reply name;just that it was sent by "records."
But when a citizen of Rochester wants to speak at a public meeting round here, you got to give your name and your address, just so they can keep tabs on you, I guess.
So, it's pretty rich that these nameless bureaucrats are paid a fine salary on the backs of Rochester taxpayers, who aren't even respected enough to be told whom they're communicating with.

Ladies, start your life insurance policy

First there was women's lib.
Then there was "You've come a long way, baby."
Now we have a world in which women run companies, cities, who are CEOs of giant corporations, serve as generals in the army and admirals in the navy,
Yet when it comes to advertising life insurance, it's always the husband who's on the hook.
"Oh dear, I had a nightmare last night, you were gone and it was just me and the kids," the wife says. "It was horrible!"
"OK, the husband says dutifully. "I'll get a couple of million dollars worth tomorrow, OK hon?
Just sayin', time for the women to man up!

We need a guy saying that to his wife, and see what she says!

On teaching my kindergartner LGBTQ? Screw you!

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday handed down an important ruling 6-3 that prohibits schools from exposing schoolchildren to LGBTQ issues until at least sixth grade.
That's right. Public schools want to teach (indoctrinate) your children - as young as 5 - on how to assimilate the notion of all things LGBTQ.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor, in her dissenting opinion, railed against the vote, writing, "Does mere exposure to concepts ... prohibit the exercise of their religion?"
Someone should tell Sotomayer that at the age of 5, children have no concept of what religion is nor what sexuality is.
I remember when my kids were in kindergarten a teacher wanted to teach them about AIDS, and I told them, "no way, Jose."
Parents in Rochester and around the nation should be talking to their children's educators and administrators and letting them know how they feel about this subject.
Remember, parents raise kids, not schools.
