ROCHESTER - Rocky Garland, 76, of Rochester, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026.
Born in Lewiston, Maine, Rocky was the beloved son of Robert Garland and Gladys "Micki" Garland. He built a life rooted in hard work, family, and the simple joys that brought people together.
Rocky was a certified CDL truck driver, known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he was truly a jack of all trades--someone who could fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He found happiness in the little things: tinkering with cars, attending car shows, riding motorcycles, and spending Sundays watching football.
More than anything, Rocky cherished his family. He loved bowling, traveling, and relaxing by the pool surrounded by the people he loved most. Holidays were especially meaningful to him. He adored his animals and could often be found enjoying a good laugh watching funny animal videos. His grandkids and great-grandbabies were the light of his life, and he took pride in every moment spent with them.
Rocky is survived by his loving spouse of 45 years, Marilyn Garland; his siblings, Ted Garland and Marysue Strong; and his children, Michelle Sprowl, Michael Sprowl, and Toni Garland. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Cody Sprowl, Ryleigh Sprowl, Amber Chasse, Ryan Chasse, Lexi Garland, Nick Garland, and Patrick Garland; and his great-grandchildren, Elliana, Edmund, Magnolia, Evelyn, Nellie, and Elena, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Gladys "Micki" Garland; his siblings, Alice Chapman, Anita Burt, and Robert Garland Jr.; and his son, Joe Garland.
Rocky will be remembered for his humor, his hardworking spirit, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence will be profoundly missed, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
