Rollinsford road will be shut down today for RR crossing repairs

ROLLINSFORD - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced on Wednesday it will close a section of Rollins Road in Rollinsford today to allow New Hampshire Northcoast Railroad to make emergency repairs on a railroad crossing.

The New Hampshire Northcoast Railroad will replace a damaged section of rail line on the crossing on Rollins Road near Sommersworth Road. Work will start at 8:30 a.m. and should be completed in one day.

Electronic message board signs on either ends of the Rollins Road will alert commuting motorists to utilize Green Street, Stackpole Road, High Street, or Indigo Hill Road during this time. Detour signs around this intersection will also be used to assist local motorists with navigating around this work zone.
