FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Ronald S. Foster, Sr., of Fort Pierce, Fla., (formerly of Rochester, N.H., and Foxboro, Mass.) died peacefully at the age of 82 on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce.
Born in Foxboro on October 30, 1934, to Philip T. Foster and Inez (Tarr) Foster, he was a 1953 graduate of Foxboro High School and served in the Navy Reserve from 1953 to 1961.
Ron worked as an Assistant Treasurer in Banking as well as in many collection agencies throughout Massachusetts. He also worked in the Industrial Engineering Department at IPC in Bristol, N.H., prior to his retirement and move to Rochester.
Ron loved fishing of any kind and was a member of the Rochester Runners Club since 1987. He was a godly man who loved his Lord and lived his faith daily. He was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Fort Pierce.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret (Peggy) Foster of Fort Pierce; his sons, Ronald S. Foster, Jr. (Jeanne) of Foxboro, Mass., and James A. (Margery) of Eliot, Maine; three grandsons, Matthew (Amanda), Jesse (Ashley) and Shawn and four great grandchildren Alanna, Elliot, Elijah and Sophia; brother, Lawrence Foster of Georgia and sister, Phyllis Farmer of New Hampshire, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Virginia Slobogan and his infant son, Johnnie Foster.
