ROCHESTER - The Rochester Opera House is gearing up for another summer of theater camp, which will be held at the Rochester Performance & Arts Center. The camp is open to kids of all ages and abilities.

"RPAC's Theater Camps are open to any student interested in performing arts - regardless of age or experience," said Jennifer Towle, camp director.

The program hosts daily classes in acting, music, and dance, taught by professional artists. There is also an emphasis on public speaking, learning how to sing solo and in an ensemble and building on movement and dance skills. Each camp celebrates their hard work with a showcase performance.

Towle, a new addition to the staff at RPAC brings years of experience as an education director, mainstage director, and professional actor. She'd worked previously with The Hampstead Stage Company (Center Barnstead, NH), Playhouse on the Square (Memphis, TN), and most recently with Patrick Dorow Productions (Kittery, ME/Portsmouth, NH). This will be her first year directing the summer theatre camps at RPAC.
