CONCORD - The Department of Safety reported on Wednesday that they had learned of multiple calls reporting threats at schools throughout the state and New England.

New Hampshire schools that were affected included Nashua, Hudson and Litchfield, while in Massachusetts Tyngsborough police also responded to bomb threats.

Multiple law enforcement officials determined that the threats were hoaxes and robotic phone calls were blamed for most of the threats.

State agencies are assisting the gathering of all leads into the hoax calls that occurred in New Hampshire, according to a release.

Residents and visitors in New Hampshire are encouraged to report suspicious activity to local authorities or 911. Suspicious activity also can be reported anonymously by calling 603-223-3860 or through an online tip form.
