Scenic Theater to be featured in Thursday screening by historical society

ROCHESTER - The Rochester Historical Society and Museum will host two historic screenings from Rochester's past on Thursday at 7 .p.m.

Local historian Bob Griffin will be showing two films, "The Famous Scenic Theater" and "The Devastating Fire of 1947."

Griffin is a lifelong resident of Rochester, president of the Historical Society and Museum, and produces informative monthly videos of Rochester's rich history.

The Rochester Historical Society and Museum is located at 58 Hanson Street. Street parking is available. There is also free parking in nearby municipal lots. Visit www.rochesternh.net/history to learn more.
