Since its founding on March 21, Seacoast Mask Makers has distributed more than 30,000 masks to almost 200 organizations from Portsmouth to Rochester

To do that, they've drawn in scores of volunteer sewers ranging from professionals to amateurs and everywhere in between.

Now their homemade masks are protecting many on the frontlines of the COVID pandemic, including those in health, hospice and elder care, correctional, and first responders.

In addition, they've provided masks to restaurants, retailers, delivery services and other essential businesses to distribute to their workers.

Using Facebook primarily, Seacoast Mask Makers have gathered more than 2000 volunteers for the cause.

Some of the local recipients of their kindness include Hyder Family Hospice of Dover, Maple Suites of Dover, Riverside Rest Home of Dover, Rochester First Responders, and the Rockingham and Strafford County jails.

Seacoast Mask Makers provide the pattern, insights, updates, and encouragement to members to help them optimize their talents and output. The pool of volunteers continue to grow, according to the group.

The group's efforts continue, and any organization that needs masks is welcome to order some.
