Second man arrested in Unfonak death case

ROCHESTER - A fourth suspect has been arrested in the investigation in the death of Bang N Jane drummer Jim Unfonak.

Forrest Rollins, 42, of Brook St. Rochester, turned himself in on Friday after being notified of the arrest warrant. He was booked and released on personal recognizance pending an arraignment March 21at Rochester District Court.

Rollins was charged with one count of simple assault, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail. Police say the assault happened inside Gary's Sports Bar earlier the evening Unfonak was allegedly attacked by Eric Langlais, who has been charged with felony manslaughter and riot.

Unfonak, 44, of Rochester, was getting into a car to leave the tavern around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 31 when he was allegedly punched in the head by Langlais. Unfonak was rushed to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, where he died of his injuries the next day.

Rochester Police are still actively investigating the incident and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident and who might have left the scene before the police arrived to please contact Det.
