MILTON - The Lebanon Voice has obtained what appear to be five Right to Know requests from Selectmen Chair Tom Gray targeting fellow board members.

The RTK requests seek copies of emails and text messages between the two other selectmen as well as the minutes of an alleged meeting they had without Gray at which he purports they decided against hiring a bookkeeper until after next month's election when Gray will no longer be on the board.

The bombshell Right to Know requests point to a deepening rift between the board after several scandals plagued Gray last year.

The Right to Know requests are dated Feb. 23 and appear to be signed by Gray, and while no official time stamp from the town is affixed at the bottom of each form, The Lebanon Voice has independently confirmed the existence of five Right to Know requests recently filed by a selectman.

It isn't clear whether the requests will be handled in the nonpublic session of Monday's selectmen's meeting or not.

The five RTK requests, all dated Feb. 23, ask for:

  • Copies of all emails between Selectmen Mike Beaulieu and Andy Rawson since Dec. 1.
  • Copies of all text messages between Beaulieu and Rawson for the same time period.
  • Copies of all phone records between the two for the same period.
  • A copy of minutes from an alleged meeting between Beaulieu and Town Offices employees on or around Jan. 17.
  • A copy of minutes of an alleged meeting held between Beaulieu and Rawson in which Gray asserts they "put on hold a decision made by the entire BOS to proceed with posting the position of bookkeeper. Selectman Beaulieu was heard saying 'we' decided to hold off until after the elections," Gray writes on the RTK form.

Monday's meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. with a nonpublic session scheduled for 5:31.

Agenda items include New Business, Approval of Minutes, Expenditure Reports, Selectmen's Comments, Public Comments and Other Business.
