To the reidents of Milton:
When the election is behind us, will the winds of change prevail, or will it be more of the same? With a three-member board of selectmen, it takes a "team" to make a difference.
Three candidates are vying for the Selectman position here in Milton. I firmly believe it will take a few election cycles to improve the focus and direction of our town. It is definitely time for a change--a change for the better. We need elected officials who work for the residents. We need leaders who are honest, open, and above reproach. Most importantly, we need people who are committed to the future of Milton. Looking ahead, it may also be necessary to consider placing a tax cap on the school district.
The three candidates who recently ran for Selectman each spoke about their vision and hopes for Milton's future. Each shared ideas on what needs to change in order to gain the respect and confidence of the people of Milton. Now that the election is behind us, the question remains: will the winds of change prevail, or will it be more of the same?
With a three-member Board of Selectmen, it takes teamwork to make a difference. Individual personalities must be set aside for the good of the town. There is no "I" in team. One selectman does not have the authority to run things alone. All three must work together, putting aside differences to serve the people of Milton.
This is your town. Your vote is your voice in deciding who you want leading Milton. Choose wisely, there is a lot at stake.

Milton
