DOVER - Shirley Ann Turcotte, 86, died peacefully on Thursday October 21, 2021 at The Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth.

The daughter of Walter and Mary (Taylor) Baker, Shirley was born on January 29, 1935 in North Tonawanda, New York. Her family moved to Dover when she was very young and this is where she attended school, married and raised her children.

Shirley was a homemaker, a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Her favorite role was that of Nana and Great Grandmother. She loved her family dearly and cherished gatherings where she could spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was proud of each and every one of them and loved sharing stories about their achievements.

Besides her husband, Shirley was predeceased by her nine siblings Eleanor Baker, Norma Daniels, Mary Bromfield, Jean Isaacson, Vincent Baker, George Baker, Walter Baker, James Baker and Harold Baker.

Survivors include her four children Cathy Young and her husband Kenneth of Dover, Steven Turcotte and his wife Heidi Jo of Dover, Lee Ann Phillips and her husband Paul of Rochester, Kristen Gugliuzza and her husband Anthony "AJ" of Windham, Maine; five grandchildren, Erin Maskwa and her husband Chris, Meagan Turcotte, Allyson Young, Anthony, and Sophia Gugliuzza; four great grandchildren Seamus Glidden, Tommy, Lily and Grace Maskwa; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the staff at The Edgewood Centre for their wonderful care of Shirley for the past five years.
