MILTON - Shirley Lilljedahl, 81, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Evans Health Care, Ft Myers, Fla., after a lengthy illness. She was born March 6, 1936 the daughter of Henry Lilljedahl and Dorothy Varney.
Shirley spent most of her life in Milton, where she was a loving and dedicated mother to her two sons and delighted in playing with her grandchildren. Shirley loved the sunshine and in her later years moved to Estero, Fla., with her mother. She kept herself busy doing crafts, volunteering and being active in her church. Family members cherish the beautiful ceramic pieces and numerous quilts she made over the years.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother Carl Lilljedahl.
She is survived by her sons David and wife Doreen Sceggell of Milton, Stephen Sceggell of Rochester; brother Robert and wife Lee Lilljedahl of New Durham; grandchildren Jeff, Nick and Cody Sceggell and Joy Newton; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many friends.
