Shirley M. Drew ... avid writer of short stories; at 86

MILTON - Shirley M. Drew, 86, of Milton, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 7:19 p.m.

She was born in Milton, on October 4, 1935, one of nine children to Ruth (Wing) Perry and Charles Everett Perry, Shirley lived her entire life on the homestead that her forefathers purchased.

Shirley was an avid writer of short stories. She loved to garden, loved her cat and watching the birds. She did beautiful masonry work in her yard. She kept a journal in which she wrote of what her day consists of, as only she could write. Everyone always loved to read her writings. She loved her family and most of all, she loved Jesus. Psalm 46:10 Be Still and know that I am God.

She was predeceased by her parents, also many brothers and sisters.

Survived by her brother James and wife Athena Perry, her sons: Anthony and wife Lori Elwell, Craig and wife Teresa Elwell, Michael Elwell, her daughters: Terry Skinner, Dawn & husband Jamie Nerden, Holly and husband Mark Elliott, Shannon & husband Dave Dube, also by many grandchildren & great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
