While the snow totals that were predicted for the Northern Seacoast have diminished greatly, extended wind gusts of up to 35 mph over the next 30 hours remain a concern.
The high winds, coming out of the north-northeast are expected to continue throughout the day and well into Tuesday afternoon, threatening power lines due to trees already laden with a layer of heavy, wet snow from Friday's storm.
Eversource and Central Maine Power crews are already being positioned for possible power outages across the Greater Rochester area and Southwestern York County.
The storm is expected to bring snow and gusty winds, potentially exceeding 40-50 miles per hour near the New Hampshire and Maine coasts.
As of 10 a.m. no customers in Greater Rochester or Southwest York, Maine, have lost power.
The snow is expected to taper off around 6 p.m. today with a total of three-to-six inches expected, but the 30-35 mph wind wind gusts will hang around till around 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
