SOMERSWORTH -- The Somersworth Community Chamber of Commerce recently announced the launch of Deck the Falls, a festive holiday shopping passport program designed to encourage residents and visitors to shop, dine, and support local businesses throughout the holiday season.
Running till Dec. 31, Deck the Falls invites the community to explore and enjoy participating retailers, restaurants, and service providers across Somersworth and the surrounding border towns. Shoppers will receive a stamp on their passport with each purchase -- one stamp per stop -- and once completed, passports can be redeemed at the Chamber office for a chance to select a gift from the Chamber's Giving Tree, filled with items donated by local businesses.
"We are thrilled to celebrate our business community during one of the most important times of the year," said Bonnie McNair, Executive Director of the Somersworth Community Chamber of Commerce. "Deck the Falls is not only a fun way to spread holiday cheer, but also a meaningful opportunity to keep spending local, boost our small business economy, and showcase all the wonderful shops and eateries that make our region special."
Passports can be picked up at any participating business or at the Chamber office located at 63 High Street, Somersworth. Participants can easily identify where to shop by looking for the Deck the Falls decal displayed at storefronts.
Throughout the event, the Chamber will also highlight participating businesses on social media and through seasonal promotions.
Local businesses interested in joining the initiative may sign up at somersworthchamber.org or by contacting the Chamber directly.
