CONCORD - A Somersworth man pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday to being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on September 27, agents from the ATF executed a search warrant at a home where James Howard, 39, stayed.

At the home, agents found a Marlin Wester Auto firearm receiver and ammunition. A firearm receiver integrates other components by providing housing for internal action components such as the hammer, bolt or breechblock, firing pin, extractor and trigger mechanism.

Howard is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 12, 2020.
