State Police, AG's Office probe officer-involved shooting in Pelham

PELHAM - State Police today are responding a report of an officer-involved shooting that occurred on in Pelham.

The incident reportedly occurred as members of the Pelham Police Department were called to a residence on Nashua Road following a 911 call for an armed adult male resident in mental distress.

No law enforcement officers were physically injured in the incident. The adult male is currently receiving medical treatment for his injury and was alert and communicative when he was transported to a medical facility.

Pursuant to protocol, the names of the officers involved in the incident are being withheld pending the conclusion of formal interviews. The exact circumstances surrounding this incident are now under active investigation.
