Statewide hospitalizations, daily case averages at pandemic lows

CONCORD - DHHS announced just 14 new positive test results for COVID-19 on Thursday, but more importantly that only 11 current hospitalization remain in the Granite State, indicating the toll on the state's health care infrastructure continues to abate.

The number of current cases statewide is also down 20 percent from a week ago, now at 255 opposed to 309 on Aug. 13

Of those new cases identified, two are under the age of 18 and one is from Strafford County. No new hospitalized cases were identified.

Meanwhile local number remain the same as Wednesday, with five active cases in Dover, 1-4 in Rochester, Somersworth, Strafford and Barrington, and none in Milton and Farmington.

DHHS also announced one additional death related to COVID-19, man 60 or older from Hillsborough County
