GONIC - Stephen Edward Byrnes Jr., 32, of Church Street, Gonic was tragically taken from his family Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 at his home after his tremendous fight against his disease of addiction.
He was born Aug. 9, 1986 in Danvers, Mass. the son of Stephen Byrnes, Sr. and the late Kimberly (Rubchinuk) Byrnes. He proudly owned a home in Gonic.
Stephen was a BA welder, who was proud of his craft. He didn't consider it "work," but a labor of love. He most recently worked for the company, Decco as a pipe welder and it truly was his passion.
Stephen was an excellent provider and a devoted husband to his wife Chelsea (Trefethen) Byrnes and adoring father to his children, Garrett and Raeya.
Stephen's other passion in life was getting high off music. When Steve was around, music was around (and it was usually loud).
He was well loved by many friends and family, especially his best friend, Alex Sullivan.
We are proud of the fight he put up against his disease. He never gave up, he just didn't win.
Please do not let Stephen's death be in vain. If you are struggling, please ask for help. You are loved.
