ROCHESTER - The Strafford Wind Symphony is set to perform at the Rochester Opera House on Sunday at 7 p.m.
The symphony is a volunteer musical organization that rehearses weekly in Rochester and performs a wide array of musical styles from wind band standards to patriotic marches, film medleys, Broadway classics, vocal features, and more. Their membership comprises music professionals and non-professionals of all ages.
The symphony enjoys coming back to familiar places to share music, but also seek to perform for new audiences. As a non-profit they are dependent on the generosity of friends, supporters and the business community to help them keep the music playing from year to year.
