Study finds New Hampshire fourth-best state for working from home

With 71 percent of people whose jobs can be done remotely working from home all or most of the time during the COVID-19 pandemic, the personal-finance website WalletHub last week released its report on the Best States for Working from Home in order to highlight which areas are thriving and which are struggling in this pandemic economy.

The only states ahead of the Granite State were Delaware, North Carolina and Georgia. The closest competitor from New England was Connecticut at No. 15. Maine was ranked 40th and Vermont 37th.
To identify which states are most conducive to working from home, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 12 key metrics. The data set ranges from the share of workers working from home before COVID-19 to internet cost and cybersecurity. We also considered factors like how large and how crowded homes are in the state.
