CONCORD - Governor Chris Sununu on Friday signed HB 239, SB 80, and SB 177 - legislation related to mental health - into law with lawmakers and mental health advocates at Hampstead Hospital.
"The legislation we signed today is a continuation of our efforts to move the ball forward in ensuring that Granite Staters are provided with the very best mental health services," said Gov. Sununu. "These bills ensure that we provide patients with the respect they deserve, and provide our mental health workers with the flexibility they need to provide care."
"The most critical pieces about these bills are, that like many of the things that have happened over the past couple of years, it's really continuing to put the pieces together where we're able to look at individuals and families much more holistically," said Christine Tappan, DHHS Assistant Commissioner.
