ROCHESTER - Susan L. Pepin, 49, of Rochester died Thursday March 30, 2017. After a long battle with TNBC, she passed peacefully at her home with her family by her side.
She was born August 1, 1967, in Rochester the daughter of James and Sharon (Wood) Gowen, graduated from Dover High School Class of 1985 and has resided in this area all of her life.
Sue had an ever present smile, and made everyone she talked to feel like they were the most important person in the world. She was a shining light that never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She loved having her family around her whether it was a holiday or impromptu pool party. Sue never shied away from a good time!
Sue's pride and joy were her boys. She loved being pregnant and loved being a mom. She would beam with pride and excitement when she talked to people about her boys. She would constantly harass them with the request of "give mum a hug." Sue was their emotional anchor and sounding board, always there to ease their pain. She was a true hockey mom, running all over New England, and beyond, to watch her boys play.
Sue was a daddy's girl, and let everyone know it. Her and her father had a very strong bond, and Sue looked at him as her hero. Sue's favorite thing to say, she got from her father - "Don't say good bye, say see you later."
We certainly will see her later!
Members of her family include her husband of 27 years, Steven Pepin of Rochester; two sons, Cameron Pepin and Drew Pepin, both of Rochester; her parents, James and Sharon Gowen of Dover; two brothers, Jim Gowen and his wife Bonnie of Dover, Dave Gowen and Alessia Dicosmo of Dover; one sister, Faith Gowen Croteau and Chris Gonzales of Dover; three sister-in-law's, Lou Ann Pepin of Fayetteville, Ark., Janet (Pepin) Stucker and her husband Craig of Scarborough, Maine, and Darlene (Pepin) Grevich of Somersworth; one brother-in-law, John Pepin of Somersworth, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
