ROCHESTER - Susan Mary (Dober) Stetson, 82, died on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital with her loving family around her.

Susan was born on Nov. 9, 1939, in Spanish Room, Newfoundland, Canada, to Alphonsus and Bridget (Coady) Dober. Susan was survived by her daughters, Angela Reinholtz and her husband Erik Reinholtz, and Jennifer Powers and her husband Bill Powers of Rochester; their father, Peter Stetson of Dover; and grandchildren, Kyle Morrison, Haley Butler, Amy Powers, and Hannah Reinholtz. She also had 10 siblings and an abundance of nieces and nephews, each whom she loved dearly.

Susan graduated high school from the Sacred Heart School in Marystown. After high school, she joined the Sisters of Mercy, where she served 12 years. During her service in the Convent, she completed her bachelor's in education. Susan taught the first and second grade in Canada, and after moving to the United States, worked as a paraprofessional in surrounding schools for many years.

Susan was a longtime member of The Holy Rosary Church, before joining St Mary's Parish. She has always been a devout Catholic. She served as a member for The School of Healing Prayer, The Healing Ministry, The Marian Movement, The Bereavement Ministry, The Holy Cross Associates, and as an Eucharistic Minister. Susan also taught the Catholic religion to children for generations.

Susan will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She touched the lives of so many, leaving fond memories behind.
