Suspect in 2021 fatal shooing near homeless shelter to finally face charges

CONCORD - The man suspected of fatally shooting a homeless man outside a winter shelter in 2021 has finally been extradited to New Hampshire to face charges.
Timothy Johnson, 39, is accused of killing 67-year-old Jean Lascelle outside of 351 Chestnut St. in Manchester around 8:40 a.m. on Feb. 13, 2021.
Four days later Johnson was arrested in Framingham, Mass., and charged with being a fugitive from justice.
On Wednesday Framingham District Court ordered he be extradited to the Granite State.
An arraignment is set for today at 11 a.m. at Hillsborough County Superior Court - Northern District.
Johnson is charged with one count of second degree murder for knowingly causing Lascelle's death by shooting him with a firearm. He is also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
