ROCHESTER - The man accused in the robbery of George and Ed's General Store last month was arrested in Derry today.

Anthony M. Driscoll, 30, who was identified as the suspect in the Dec. 26 heist on Thursday, was picked up by Derry and Rochester Police and transported back to Rochester where he refused bail.

Police say the robbery occurred the day after Christmas around 5:55 p.m. when a man entered the store, brandished what appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol at the clerk and took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer before fleeing the scene.

The man was seen arriving and leaving in a small dark colored SUV/crossover style vehicle, which parked on an adjacent street.

Driscoll, who has a last known address in Fremont, will be arraigned in Strafford County Superior Court on Tuesday.
