ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced that Tanya Hervey will step into the role of President & CEO beginning in January, following current President Laura Ring's retirement.
Hervey has been with the Chamber for over six years, most recently serving as Director of Events & Communications. She brings a unique blend of business ownership, office management and chamber leadership experience, along with formal nonprofit management training, according to a statement from the board. She is also a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute for Organization Management program, receiving her IOM designation following the four-year, program.
Before joining the Chamber, Hervey owned and operated a portrait photography business in Rochester for several years.
According to Chamber Chair of the Board Caitlyn Turgeon of HBL Insurance, "We are very fortunate to have witnessed Tanya's commitment to the Chamber, her leadership abilities, and the programs she has developed over the past six years. Combined with her vision, we are very confident that Tanya will do a wonderful job leading the organization into the future. We also want to thank Laura Ring for her 36 years of dedicated leadership and the many contributions she has made to our Chamber."
