LEBANON, Maine - Terrence (Terry) Lee, 80, of Lebanon, Maine, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Terry was born in Tucson, Arizona, to John and Marion Lee. He was one of seven children.

Terry built a life marked by hard work, service, and dedication. He proudly served his country first in the United States Navy where he trained as an aerial photographer before being stationed in Brunswick, Maine; he later commissioned as a United States Air Force Officer. He also earned a master's degree, reflecting his commitment to learning and growth. Following his military service, he began his professional career with International Paper Company before moving on to The Bank of New York, and later to other large financial institutions. Beginning initially in Human Resources, he advanced into multiple leadership roles, before ultimately serving and retiring as a Chief Operating Officer of a major financial institution. He took great pride in his work and built a long and successful career.

It was during his time in the service, while stationed in Bermuda, that Terry met the love of his life, Ellen. What began as a chance meeting quickly became a lifelong love story. They were married the following year and shared more than five decades of love together.

Terry was known for his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and a personality that kept people laughing. He took great pride in the life he built for himself, leaving Tucson to create a future defined by hard work and determination. He loved his children deeply and considered them his greatest accomplishment. Nothing made him happier than seeing them build lives of their own with spouses they loved.

Terry was a deeply emotional man and often could not help but shed a tear, or many. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, never turning down a good beer and always appreciating a fine glass of scotch. He often lived by his favorite saying, "A coward dies a thousand deaths; a brave man dies but one."

Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Ellen Lee; his three loving children and their spouses, Michael and Adriana Lee, Terrence (TJ) and Michelle Lee, and Mary and Jay Delehanty. He was a proud grandfather to his six grandchildren, Thomas Lee, Claudia Lee, Teresa Lee, Anabelle Delehanty, Nora Delehanty, and Margaret (Margie) Delehanty, each of whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his sister, Jean.
