The Rochester Voice on Thursday joined the New Hampshire Press Association, an advocacy group for many of New Hampshire's media outlets.
The Rochester Voice editor, Harrison Thorp, was welcomed into the organization by NHPA Executive Director Phil Kincade.

The NHPA in part seeks to protect the rights of a free press, to aid and advance the study of journalism and to promote a better understanding between the public and the press.
"It is a great honor to be accepted into this respected and principled association," said Martha Soto Galicia, president of The Rochester Voice. "We will do our best to uphold the values and ethics for which it stands."
