ROCHESTER - If summer is quick to fade, can the Granite State Fair not be far behind?
After a successful inaugural run last year the second such iteration begins in just 19 days, and organizers are expecting another strong year.
Fiesta Shows and the circus will be back, along with local livestock viewing, Nancy Griffith, one of the fair's principal organizers, said on Thursday.
Like last year, the fair will run on two consecutive four-day weekend from Sept. 15-19 and Sept. 22-25.
Grandstand events like the Bus Derby will run on both Saturdays while the Sunday events include a Demolition Derby and a Trailer Derby.
Tickets for grandstand events can be reserved now at

General admission tickets are also available now at https://www.granitestatefair.com/buy-tickets/
Also new this year will be a Cornhole Tournament put on by 603 Cornhole of Derry.
Griffith said the fair is still looking for a few more volunteers.

Griffith said organizers are planning a barbecue for volunteers where more details about fair attractions will likely be announced.
Vendors are also encouraged to contact the fair to find out details about available space in the historic Exhibition Hall.
