ROCHESTER - Thomas Clifford Roy, 62, passed away after a short battle with cancer on June 21, 2014, at his home surrounded by many family and friends. Thomas was born January 11, 1952, in Goffstown, and was the son of Thomas L. and Patricia M. Roy. He is predeceased by his sister Cheryl P. Roy and brother Stephen Roy.

He was a Coast Guard veteran who served during the Vietnam War stationed in Adak, AK as a radioman instructor. After the Coast Guard, he started his career in the lumber industry. He spent the majority of his career at Brock's Building Supplies heading up the kitchen design department from its inception.

He enjoyed music, good food, and wine. Some of his favorite things to do would be camping, watching the Three Stooges, MASH and finding a nice quiet spot to read a good book.

He was very active in the arts. He was often seen as a volunteer at the Rochester Opera House and an active volunteer in the Rochester Main Street Program. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Hackmatack Playhouse in Berwick, ME. He was a regular at the Governor's Inn. He was known by many as TopCat, and could be seen wearing one of the many hats in his extensive collection.

His surviving brothers and sisters include; David Roy of Milton Mills, Michelle P. Sanner of Portsmouth, Timothy H. Roy of Kittery Point, Maine, Patricia M. Sheldon of Windham, Debra I. Shaw and Judith A. Roy of Portsmouth, NH and Kathleen Kristiansen of Nassau, N.Y. He married the love of his life, Susan Jane Nault, April 15, 1978. He had three children, Ryan, Craig and Cheryl. His son Ryan passed away November 17, 1991.
