PORTSMOUTH - The East Rochester man involved in a Rochester motorcycle crash on Wednesday remains in serious condition at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, spokesperson Lynn Robbins said today.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. when police say Paul Mulcahy, 62, was riding his Harley Davidson Touring Motorcycle south, attempted to pass another vehicle also headed south in the area of the Exit 11 off ramp and left the roadway.
Mulcahy's bike went onto the shoulder, striking first a mailbox and then a utility pole. The vehicle he was beginning to pass stopped to render assistance, police said.
Mulcahy was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with what were described as serious injuries.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Officer Plumb of the Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7128.
