ROCHESTER - Three were injured and a South Carolina woman was charged with use of mobile devices while driving Thursday night after the vehicle she was driving collided with an East Rochester man's car on Pickering Road.

The crash occurred around 6 p.m. when police responded to the area of Pickering Road near the intersection of Tebbetts Road for a reported two car motor vehicle accident.

An investigation revealed that Amanda Ayers, 34, of Charleston, S.C., was driving a Toyota Corolla on Pickering Road traveling southeast while Daniel Murray, 58, of East Rochester, was driving northwest in his Chevrolet Sonic.

Ayers was charged with driving after suspension, highway markings, and use of mobile electronic devices while driving, all violations.

Pickering Road was closed to traffic for about an hour.

The case remains under investigation at this time. Anyone with information about this collision is asked to contact the Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7128.
