Three injured in Old Dover Road head-on collision

ROCHESTER - Slippery roads are likely to blame in an Old Dover Road head-on collision that sent three to the hospital on Friday night.

The crash occurred a little after 6 p.m. in the area of Seavey Brook Lane.

When police and rescue crews arrived, they found two heavily damaged vehicles, a 2005 Chevy Colorado and a 2003 Toyota Matrix, in the roadway with two people still inside the Colorado.

The Fire Department used an extraction tool to free the passenger from the Colorado, while the driver was helped out.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the Chevrolet Colorado pickup, driven by Nathaniel Hudson, 21, of Rochester, was traveling southbound on Old Dover Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and stuck an oncoming northbound 2003 Toyota Matrix being driven by Brenda Mee, 47, of East Rochester.

Hudson, his 16- year-old passenger and Mee were all transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what police are describing as nonlife-threatening injuries. 

An extraction tool was useed to free the passenger from the pickup truck.

Old Dover Road between Tebbetts Road and Tingley Street was closed for approximately 45 minutes. While weather is suspected to be a factor, the accident is still under investigation.
